Watch Caseback Engraving: What to Include in Your Brief

Customizable Gold Classic Watch - 36mm | W-0095

Caseback engraving can carry a logo, dedication or project reference without changing the main dial design. The available area depends on the actual caseback: an exhibition window, existing markings and curved surfaces may reduce the usable space.

Start with the exact caseback

Send the product link and ask for the usable engraving area. Confirm whether the quoted model has a solid or display back and whether artwork could conflict with necessary existing markings. Do not assume that all watches in a model family use the same caseback.

Prepare text as carefully as the logo

Supply exact spelling, capitalization and line breaks. For numbered gifts, provide a checked list and confirm whether each unique line changes the quote. Keep customer names and other personal text in the approved project file rather than a publicly accessible artwork folder.

Review orientation and approval

Ask how the engraving will be oriented when the back is assembled. Review the final layout at actual size and confirm the production method. Engraving does not establish water resistance; if the case must be opened, ask how reassembly and water-resistance checks are handled for that project.

Compare a current model

See Customizable Gold Classic Watch - 36mm | W-0095 for the current options, specifications and price, and compare the customizable watches collection.

Request a custom logo quote with the model, quantity, artwork and destination. For a parts or fit question, include the exact model and measurements.
